ABSA TO CHURN OUT PRODUCTS TO UPGRADE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Absa Bank Tanzania has reassured its customers it is designing definitive plans to launch new products in the market tailored to satisfy the needs of banking services consumers across Tanzania.

Speaking to its invited customers during the on-going Customer Service week at the Absa's Mikocheni Branch in Dar es Salaam today, Absa Bank Finance Director, Obedi Laiser, said this year’s theme, “Celebrate Service” targets to appreciate the global banking services providers fraternity that expend time, care and compassion into serving customers.

Our core value lies in the fact that we are obsessed with the customer, we want to assure our esteemed customers that we are committed in making your banking experience with us the most pleasant,” he said.

Laiser pointed out that the financial conglomerate was eyeing on sustaining its support to its customers in social and economic development endevours as well as making their life much easier when it comes to using banking services in Tanzania.

He noted that the bank’s core brand cannon is positioning their products on a more beneficial level by bringing customer possibilities to life, and at the same time advancing the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) proposition in a bid to address the changing needs and growing importance of SME in the country.

Said Laiser: “We have revamped our SME proposition, this goes to show how important SME are to the country, and as such how important they are too to us at Absa Bank Tanzania,” said.

The Absa official pointed out that a couple of months ago the bank launched VISA Debit Card targeting businesses in the country, which is linked to business transaction account, aiming to help entities track and manage operational expenses efficiency and access cost saving benefits.

This debit card makes it much easier for business people to conduct routine transaction and at the same time record their cash flow in a digital manner and in a more secure format,” he added.

On her part, Head of Customer Services at Absa Bank, Evelyn Kamara described the Customer Service Week as the right platform for the bank’s management to review the quality of their services and listen to emerging needs from customers with the goal of improving the banking services.

She said the bank would continue improving its banking products and expanding services across the country in order to effectively satisfy customer needs.

At Absa we always look forward to improving our services but also listen to customer needs, we ensure we open rooms for receiving comments on social media platforms to allow clients to engage with the bank in their day-to-day activities,” she clarified.

Kelvin Nyoni, a customer with the bank and Procurement Officer at Red and White Technology, said Absa Bank has put its services and products are at the client’s fingertips, thereby helping customers to execute transactions in a much easier way.

Nyoni called upon Tanzanians from all walks of life to join Absa Bank and enjoy some of the best services and unique products offer by the bank.
